Status Solutions and Stryker to Demonstrate Alert Engine/ Wireless Smart Bed Integration
Over the past several months, Stryker and Status Solutions designed and developed an integration to drive alerts from Stryker’s iBed Wireless smart bed system to SARA’s robust alerting engine. Status Solutions and Stryker are exhibiting at this week’s Atlantic Canada Clinical Engineering Society (ACCES) conference and exhibition in St. John’s, Newfoundland, and will be demonstrating the integration.

Status Solutions and Stryker announced their strategic partnership earlier this year at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) annual conference. Over the past several months, Stryker and Status Solutions designed and developed an integration to drive alerts from Stryker’s iBed Wireless smart bed system to SARA’s robust alerting engine.
Through SARA’s rich integration toolset, this integration enables SARA to receive critical events from Stryker’s iBed Wireless system to enhance the level of care and patient monitoring in acute care environments. This integration provides monitoring of Stryker iBed features such as bed exit, iBed Awareness, bed status, weight, protocols, etc. iBed Awareness can monitor a caregiver-selected set of bed parameters. When any of those parameters change, the Stryker iBed Wireless system will alert SARA of the change enabling enhanced alerting to a variety of end-points. Parameters include individual siderail positions, brakes, bed exit, head of bed angle, bed height, current weight, and more.
