Business Consulting Solutions Hosts Bowl-a-Thon to Raise Money for Operation Smile
Business Consulting Solutions held a bowl-a-thon Saturday, March 19th to raise money for Operation Smile and to come closer to their ultimate goal of raising $3000 for the cause.
Rancho Cucamonga, CA, May 14, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Saturday, March 19th, Business Consulting Solutions gathered its members along with family and friends to host a charity bowl-a-thon in Ontario, California to raise money for Operation Smile. Following several fundraising efforts, including a holiday dodge ball tournament and a basketball 3 on 3 challenge, the Bowl-A-Thon is one of many ways Business Consulting Solutions plans to give back to the community and reach its fundraising goal with Operation Smile.
Business Consulting Solutions is a sales and marketing firm hired by national corporations to acquire and retain their business accounts. The company has been in business for over 7 years and is continuing to expand. With over 10 offices currently, the company plans on taking on 2 new clients this year and has been in talks with overseas clients about options of taking the company overseas. As the company has grown, the management team has made it a goal to give back to the community.
Business Consulting Solutions became involved with Operation Smile in 2010. The company partnered up with Operation Smile with the goal of changing the lives of as many children as possible.
Operation Smile mobilizes a world of generous hearts to heal children’s smiles and transform lives across the globe. The organization was founded in Operation Smile’s network of volunteers works worldwide to repair childhood facial deformities including cleft lips and cleft palates.
Over 35 members of the Business Consulting Solutions employees, family and friends attended Saturday’s Bowl-A-Thon. The event lasted from 12-4 and included unlimited bowling. Tickets were sold to allow all profits to go towards Operation Smile. The event helped raise over $500 to the cause, which will account for the operation of 2 children.
“We are excited about what we have been able to do with Operation Smile. It’s a cause everyone has been able to become passionate about. It feels good to be able to run company whose members not only believe in working hard in their career, but also care so intensely about giving back. The bowl-a-thon was a success and we expect to continue our work with Operation Smile even beyond our fundraising goals,” explains Ken Lear, President of Business Consulting Solutions.
Over the past year, Business Consulting Solutions raised over $1400 for the cause. With this Saturday’s Bowl-A-Thon, the company is almost halfway to their ultimate goal of raising $3000 in total for the organization.
The company has also participated in events with The Boys and Girls Club of Venice and Irvine, The American Cancer Society, North Point Ministries, the 4-H club, and more. The company expects that the growth of the company will allow them to make an even bigger impact on the community in the coming years.
