Purafil Welcomed the Consul General of Japan in Atlanta
Industry Leader Recently Examined its Business Strategy in Japan
Doraville, GA, May 18, 2011 --(PR.com)-- On Friday, May 13, Purafil Inc. welcomed Consul General of Japan in Atlanta, Mr. Takuji Hanatani to its headquarters. Consul General Hanatani toured Purafil’s on-site equipment and chemical plants and its state-of-the-art laboratories and discussed business endeavors with Purafil’s team of experts. The Consulate General of Japan in Atlanta serves Alabama, Georgia, North and South Carolina, and Virginia.
Andy Weiller, Director of Purafil Asia, contends, “We are looking forward to establishing a cohesive relationship with Consul General Hanatani’s office, in order to realize our global expansion plans in both mature and developing markets.” Purafil was named the 2010 Environmental Exporter of the Year by U.S. Commercial News. In order to remain an industry leader, Purafil aligns its business plans with domestic and international evolving markets.
According to the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD), in 2010, Japan ranked as the fourth largest export market for Georgia. Nearly two months after the record-breaking earthquake and tsunami, Japan continues to exhibit its undeniable resiliency. The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, Takeaki Matsumoto, affirms, “Japan is open for business.” He adds, “Japan will not simply rebuild what used to be, but aim for an innovative reconstruction that focuses on the future by fully mobilizing its signature strength: a society with high levels of technology, safety and security.”
There’s been an outpouring of humanitarian support since the natural disasters. The American Red Cross is among the nonprofit organizations accepting donations for the relief efforts in the Pacific. Kaydon Corporation (KDN), Purafil’s parent company, established a partnership with the American Red Cross to provide a 100% match for each employee’s contributions through June 1. Kaydon Corp.’s contribution, to date, totals more than $13,400.
