NFL Receiver Darnerien McCants will “Rip the Runway” on March 14th @10pm

Baltimore, MD, March 12, 2007 --(PR.com)-- NFL Receiver Darnerien McCants will Rip the Runway on BET’s 3rd Annual  Fashion show which will air on March 14th 10pm est.

BET’s Rip the Runway, hosted by Chris Brown and Ciara will feature collections by top designers and performances by the hottest artists in the industry. The annual show was attended by the “who’s who” in fashion and music including; Mims, Tyrese, Nelly, Jermaine Dupri, Rich Boy, Omarion, Lloyd, Kid Capri, AMT Models Jade, Nik, Bree and Tocara, Brooke Hogan and many others.

“Wearing a suit from the Steve Harvey collection was a big deal for me because I’m not a suit type of guy,” said McCants. “But I rocked it. I may need to look into a modeling career when I’m done balling.”

McCants, whose off-season hobbies include singing and painting, can now add ripping the runway in nationally televised fashion shows to his already full bio.

While most athletes spend their free time on the golf course, tennis courts, or with a video game controller, McCants prefers exploring his creative side.

The talented crooner who has performed with Mary Mary, on UPN’s Urban Idol, Seagram’s Gin Tour, and at various charity events across the country states, “football will always be my first love, but music is a close second.”
