SEAIR Issues Travel Advisory to Batanes Passengers
As a show of effort in trying to serve their loyal patrons better, SEAIR, the Philippines’ premier luxury airline releases a letter to its loyal patrons regarding the cargo of tourists bound for Batanes.
Makati, Philippines, May 16, 2011 --(PR.com)-- In a statement released by Patrick Tan, VP Commercial for SEAIR, he reminded passengers of the policies stated by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) and signed by SEAIR. Below are the policies agreed by both parties:
1.1 Section 5-A: For domestic flights, the maximum weight per checked baggage is ten (10) kilograms and the maximum size is fifty nine (59) inches (length x width x height) unless otherwise provided in SEAIR’s regulations.
1.2 Section 6: In cases of overweight baggage, a passenger shall pay a charge for the carriage of baggage in excess of the free baggage allowance at the rate provided in SEAIR’s tariffs and regulations. Baggage in excess of the free baggage allowance will only be carried on the same flight at the discretion of SEAIR subject to space and weight limitationand payment of required charge(s).
1.3 Section 9-A: Each passenger may carry on, without charge, only one (1) piece of carry-on baggage plus an additional hand bag or laptop provided that it does not exceed the dimensions of 54cm x 38cm x 23cm and does not weigh more than seven (7) kilograms.
In the event that a cargo exceeds the stated weight in the policy, SEAIR cannot assure that the said cargo will be in the same flight as the passenger. However any excess baggage may be carried on to the next available flight, but checked-in baggage will be queued in first and will be given importance than non-checked in baggage.
These policies are only the first few steps in making sure that flights to Batanes will be hassle-free and luxurious as possible. Quoting Patrick Tan, “Rest assured that we do our best to find ways so we can carry more cargo in the future.”
