Shock & Oar Widens Product Offering, Includes Boat Interiors
Fremantle, Australia, May 17, 2011 --(PR.com)-- As Shock & Oar releases its latest range of women’s shirts, the Australian nautical leisurewear brand has widened its offerings to include men’s deck shoes and custom made soft furnishings for home and boat – showcasing the brand’s versatility in a niche market.
According to Shock & Oar Managing Director Brendon Westerhout, it’s an important move which not only meets customers’ needs but also taps into new revenue streams.
“It’s tough times for retail, especially clothing retail, so we have to be aware of potential new opportunities,” said Brendon.
“The key is listening to our customers who are happy to tell us what they like. We then develop these ideas, keeping in mind the nautical style of the brand, and the finished product is always well received,” he said.
New arrivals at Sock & Oar -- Sorrento ladies long sleeve shirts in white with lilac stripe and blue with yellow stripe are soft 100% cotton and shaped to flatter. With fine embroidery detail and cuff finishes, they turn heads in any crowd.
Also, Sardinia men’s deck shoes are a stylish combination of navy suede and tan leather. Comfortable and durable, they are ideal in all weather conditions.
Shock & Oar has a range of ready-made soft furnishings in store featuring traditional and designer nautical themes. The brand now also offers a custom made service, creating pieces especially for home, pool-side or boat interior.
“Customers enjoy the nautical look and feel intrinsic in our brand,” said Brendon.
“We can now help create the same effect in their living spaces. We recently completed a range of custom made quilted bed covers, pillows and throw cushions for a customer’s boat interior,” he said.
Boat owner and Shock & Oar regular Mr Ronnie Milne says, he was so impressed with the result, he told all his friends and even the Marina staff.
