Hollywood Lends a Hand to Greenway Arts Alliance & Good Work(s) Make A Difference to Give Students a Dream Prom
Los Angeles, CA, May 17, 2011 --(PR.com)-- 18 deserving young ladies got to fulfill their fantasies for one evening.

Thanks to the generosity of many Hollywood donors they were able to choose from various Designer gowns, shoes, and matching accessories.

Their big day began early in the am, like movie stars preparing for award night with the perfect make-up provided by the professionals at Napoleon Perdis Hollywood, followed by the hair styling team to the stars, Juan Juan J Beverly Hills.

The ladies were greeted with cheers from their dates, family, and friends as they made a grand entrance down the Oscar stairs of the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel.

After posing for photo op they were then chauffeured by American Limousine to a sumptuous pre dinner at Lisa Vanderpump’s Beverly Hills Restaurant – Villa Blanca before joining their Classmates of 2011 at the Fairfax High School Senior Prom at the Bel Air Mountain Gate Country Club.

The 18 winners came from a variety of social and economic backgrounds. The diverse cultures that make up Fairfax High School contribute to its uniqueness as a model School.

These young ladies were selected based on their scholastic achievements, Humanitarian contributions and community involvement. They also wrote compelling essays that were submitted to Greenway Arts Alliance & Good Work(s) Make a Difference.

Good Work(s) Make A Difference and Greenway Arts Alliance pooled their celebrity and Hollywood connections to make this dream project a reality.

From gowns and dresses provided by Shekhar Rahate Hollywood, Tony Bowls Paris, Caché Beverly Center, Windsor Stores, Jeff Smale & Associates to Forplay Catalog Born in Hollywood, who donated the “after party” dresses, these young ladies were overwhelmed with so many choices. “Kids in a candy store” is an apt metaphor especially when it came to the accessories and shoes that were kindly donated by Apricot Lane Downtown Disney & Apricot Lane Boutique Dallas Fort Worth, Show Stoppers, ConAir, Michael Antonio Shoes and Shiekh Shoes.

Sadly, not every graduating senior has the resources or opportunity to participate in the time honored American tradition of the senior prom. This year however, “The 2011 Dream Prom” was made a reality, thanks to the collaborative efforts of Greenway Arts Alliance, Good Work(s) Make a Difference and all of the very generous sponsors.

The young ladies' gratitude was evident as they cried and hugged their families and some of the sponsors present, posting later on their facebook and twitter pages Their personal pictures and their heartfelt thank you notes of an unforgettable day.
