Westchester, NY, May 18, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Teich Garden Systems LLC announced today that it will be an exhibitor at the 20th Annual Friends of Lasdon Plant Sale at Lasdon Park, Arboretum and Veterans Memorial in Somers, New York. TGS will be at the event on Saturday, May 21, 2011, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Admission and parking are free.
Jamie Friedman, President of TGS stated, “We are thrilled to have been invited to participate in this wonderful event. As a member of the Westchester County community, we believe the work of Friends of Lasdon in developing and cultivating public interest, participation and financial support for the Lasdon Arboretum is important for the future of the area.”
A selection of traditional garden plants, along with unique and hard-to-find annuals, perennials, shrubs, herbs and vegetables to please even the fussiest “plant connoisseurs” will be offered during the event.
Among the unique perennials and extraordinary shrubs offered is the desirable hardy crape myrtle (which is hardy to zone 6). Popular varieties of colorful annuals like lantana, cannas, coleus and zinnias will be available. Or, select traditional vegetable plants with new and exciting varieties. Also offered will be special blight-resistant tomato varieties. Add some distinctive herbs and create your own kitchen garden to enhance your culinary creations.
All plants are top quality, ready to be set out in your garden or in containers on your porch or patio. As always, knowledgeable and experienced gardeners will be on hand to help you with your selections or to answer any questions you may have, and will provide step-by-step planting instructions for your purchases.
Back by popular demand this year will be guided tours of the fragrant lilac collection which should be in full bloom.
