Fashion Photographer Erik Madigan Heck Signs with Stockland Martel
New York, NY, May 18, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Award-winning photo-representation agency Stockland Martel is now representing Erik Madigan Heck. Heck is a New York–based photographer who, though not yet 30 years of age, has worked with some of the most exclusive names in fashion, including Ann Demeulemeester, Valentino, Haider Ackermann, and Giambattista Valli. He is also the founder of the highly respected culture journal Nomenus Quarterly.
“The quality of Erik’s images is the result of a collaborative effort with the best—the best designers and the best models,” notes Maureen. “His images are really sophisticated and exquisite.”
In 2011, PDN selected Heck for its annual “30” list of photographers to watch (and used one of his photos for the cover story announcing the list). He has also been featured in WWD, American Photo, Another Magazine, and Russian Vogue, and his work has been exhibited throughout the U.S. and in Europe. In the fall of 2011, he will be a guest lecturer in the School of Visual Arts’ Masters Program for Fashion Photography, which will be making its debut that semester.
Heck’s intellectual curiosity is part of what drives Nomenus Quarterly, a high-end cultural magazine he founded in 2007 that has featured artists and designers such as Dries Van Noten, Helmut Lang, Elizabeth Peyton, Anselm Kiefer, and Jean Paul Gaultier. Nomenus, each issue of which retails for thousands of dollars, has made Erik something of a fashion star in his own right; in 2008, The New York Times “T” blog profiled him in “The Insider,” a column highlighting “tastemakers in the fields of fashion, design, food, travel and the arts.”
