Phoenix School of Law Bar Exam Results Are Highest in Arizona

Phoenix, AZ, June 02, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Phoenix School of Law is celebrating the achievements of Arizona’s newest lawyers. The Arizona Supreme Court statistics show PhoenixLaw’s first-time Bar exam writers scored an 82.1% passage rate, compared to the State’s average of 75.7%.

“PhoenixLaw is very proud of the bar passage rate our graduates have achieved,” said Shirley L. Mays, Dean of Phoenix School of Law. “It is a testament to the hard work of our law school community: our students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Coupled with our number one job placement rate and our move to our new downtown location, PhoenixLaw continues to provide great value to our students.”

The Arizona law school graduate who scored the highest on this year’s exam was Phoenix School of Law’s James Plitz, originally from North Plainfield, New Jersey.

Repeat Bar exam writers scored over 5% higher than the State’s average. Combining first-time and repeat writers, PhoenixLaw graduates scored almost 7% higher than the State’s average. Twenty-nine PhoenixLaw graduates are on their way to taking The Oath of Admission to the Arizona Bar:

PhoenixLaw offers a comprehensive Bar strategies course to all graduating students that introduces them to the Bar review and exam process. This course builds upon the factual analysis, legal analysis and reasoning, and effective communication taught across the curriculum to enhance a student’s ability to prepare for the bar exam. The course emphasizes development and application of effective strategies and skills to create an individualized bar study plan, completion of practice essay and multiple choice exams, and feedback. Students who complete the PhoenixLaw course are able to:

• Create, enhance, and practice strategies and skills in memorization, self assessment, and self efficacy
• Formulate individual plans to manage attitude, stress and study time
