This Olympic style event is only open to law enforcement officers and firefighters and has over 65 sports; the objective of the event is to promote physical health and mental well-being. Sports include boxing, archery, motocross, baseball, soccer and cycling. All sport events are free to the public to attend and watch. An action plaza with a street fair, live music, remote radio broadcast, kart racing, obstacle course and a Safety and Preparedness Fair are open to the public. There will also be professional Mixed Martial Arts and Rodeo to complete the festivities. Over 6,000 competitors are expected along with their friends and family. The Games will also respectfully commemorate the 10 year anniversary of Sept. 11 attacks with tributes and displays.
The WSPFG originated in 1967 and has grown to become a competitive and social event to pay homage to the camaraderie of the men and women in the law enforcement and fire service organizations. The California Police Athletic Federation (CPAF) is the parent organization of the WSPFG.
