Edgilis Publishes White Paper on Independent Safety Assessment (ISA) for Rail Projects
This white paper provides readers with a basic understanding of the concept of ISA and how it can be used to benefit railway projects.
Singapore, Singapore, May 19, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Edgilis, a global leader in opportunity consulting, today announced that it is making available its white paper, "The Principles of Independent Safety Assessment (ISA)." This paper covers a general overview of Independent Safety Assessment (ISA) and how it can be used to benefit rail and other construction projects.
According to Mr Billy Fong, Senior Consultant at Edgilis Pte Ltd, Independent Safety Assessment (ISA) has become increasingly common for railway projects in recent years. The main objective of commissioning an ISA (typically covering safety audits and assessments) is to provide assurance that safety management processes have been adequately implemented and that the risk associated with the project has been reduced to a level As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP). This paper details the ISA concept, the role of an ISA, the benefits of commissioning an ISA, and some examples of ISA methodologies that can be adopted.
Through this white paper, Railway Authorities, Projects Directors, Project Managers and Professionals in the RAMS industries will be able to gain a basic understanding of what ISA is and how it can be used to the benefit of railway projects.
Topics covered in the white paper include:
• What is ISA and do I need one?
