Thomas G. Knight, Director of International Recruiting for Fieldstone Academy Named VIP of the Year in Education by Cambridge Who's Who of Business Executives.
Gunnison, UT, May 19, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Fieldstone Academy and Cambridge Who’s Who of Business Executives are proud to announce that Thomas Knight has been named the VIP of the Year in Education.
Cambridge Who's Who is the fastest-growing publisher of executive, professional and entrepreneur biographies in the world today. The Cambridge mission is to deliver its members the recognition and competitive edge needed to network and do business effectively. Inclusion in the Registry is an honor limited to individuals who have demonstrated leadership and achievement in their industry and occupation. With this award Mr. Knight has been distinguished as the most prolific business executive in the field of education this year.
Mr. Knight began his career at Fieldstone Academy in October of 2008. At the time, Mr. Knight was in charge of overseeing and caring for the growing number of students coming to the Richfield, Utah campus for an advanced college preparatory experience. In the summer of 2010 it became obvious that Fieldstone Academy had grown to such a size that the Richfield campus could no longer house the growing number of students. Fieldstone Academy opened it doors in Gunnison, Utah in October 2010. With the larger campus came the need for a larger student body. Mr. Knight became pivotal in establishing relationships with foreign education consultants and agents and with his years of business experience Mr. Knight was appointed as the first Director of International Recruiting at Fieldstone Academy.
Mr. Knight continues to push for a diverse student body population at Fieldstone Academy and recently has spent time in China, Turkey, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Kuwait and The United Arab Emirates. With summer plans to hit the recruiting trail in South Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan, Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru and Chile it is apparent that Mr. Knight is one of the most proactive recruiters in the United States today.
Recently Mr. Knight was a key figurehead in a lucrative venture establishing a Fieldstone Academy campus in the Canton Ticino region of Switzerland with its doors scheduled to open in the fall of 2012. Mr. Knight is also on the front lines in establishing dual diploma programs throughout China while working with schools in other countries to establish these same relationships in the future.
Though he comes off as a seasoned businessman, ready to close a deal with the stroke of a pen, when it comes to the kids whose lives he has touched, Thomas is just their big friend, who in their times of need has always had his office door open.
