Attendees of AZ Physical Therapy Assoc. Annual Conference Receive Training They Didn’t Get in School
Craig Ferreira, CEO of Survival Strategies, Inc., due to his extensive experience with the Physical Therapy Profession, was invited to be a guest speaker at the Arizona Physical Therapy Association Annual Conference in Tempe AZ. Attendees were presented with key management tools they didn’t learn in college.
Tempe, AZ, May 20, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Craig Ferreira, CEO and Owner of Survival Strategies, Inc. was recently requested to speak at the Annual Spring Conference and Membership Meeting for the Arizona Physical Therapy Association in Tempe Arizona. This request was by way of a recommendation from the immediate past President of the Association and current Board Member, Kay Wing PT, DPT, NCS, GCS.
Survival Strategies, Inc. is a training and consulting firm, with a large number of clientele in the Physical Therapy Private Practice profession. They have been helping private practices expand for over 25 years, so it is no surprise that Mr. Ferreira was chosen as a guest speaker for this conference.
The conference was held at the Fiesta Resort Conference Center just outside of Phoenix and was well-attended by physical therapists from all parts of the state. While many of the workshops were clinical in nature, Mr. Ferreira’s talk was unique in giving attendees practical management tools they could take back and immediately put to use in their practice.
The topic he chose to cover was Public Relations and Marketing. Mr. Ferreira wanted to present basic applicable principles from the technology of Public Relations and Marketing as they relate to managing and expanding a private practice. Private Practice owners are often faced with difficult business situations in addition to maintaining high standards in both quality of care and treatments. Having been schooled and trained in the clinical aspects of physical therapy, they know how to treat patients. But how does one precisely acquire new patients from doctors? How does one brand themselves and their practice? How can one increase their community presence? These are things they don’t generally learn in college, i.e. - how to be a successful Private Practice owner.
The workshop touched on key aspects of public relations, such as branding and tools for effective marketing to referral sources, however such subjects are much too broad to be adequately covered in an afternoon workshop, so attendees were invited to participate in a complimentary tailored analysis of their own practice to take a look at how their PR and marketing stack up to an ideal scenario.
