Industry Sales Leader Zane Robbins Joins News Broadcast Network
New York, NY, May 19, 2011 --(PR.com)-- News Broadcast Network, Inc., the country’s largest and longest running independent broadcast media services company, announced today that longtime industry sales leader Zane Robbins has joined NBN as Vice President of Client Services for the Midwest Region.
Robbins will head NBN’s Midwest sales division based in Chicago. NBN President Michael Hill says the addition of Robbins to NBN’s sales team will beef up the company’s Midwest presence. “Zane’s experience in new account building, media strategizing, project management and developing innovative, goal-centered video, audio and web based communications programs, plus his creative team leadership and management experience in sales and corporate communications, bring a new energy to NBN’s Midwest division.”
Robbins echoed Hill’s belief that the broadcast PR business was poised for new growth. “I’m overjoyed to join a company like NBN that represents the core qualities that I’ve found in working over 20 years within this industry – creativity, a belief in the key roles of quality production and media relations strategy for broadcast PR, and an ownership that cares about its company, their employees and their clients with a personal concern.”
After graduating from Cal State University at Northridge, Robbins joined KEF Media Associates in Chicago serving as Director of Media Relations. From there, he progressed to director of national accounts and co-manager of the Midwest office. Robbins next joined Medialink Worldwide as General Manager of their Midwest Bureau, overseeing a sales team and support staff for a ten state Midwest region.
After a brief yet successful year-long stint assisting a start-up media relations and multimedia services firm in Atlanta, Robbins returned to Medialink, now Synaptic Digital, as VP for the Midwest Bureau.
Hill says Robbins’ move is a sign that the broadcast PR and marketing communications sector is continuing to progress in this post-recession economy. “We welcome Zane to the NBN family and value his experience, talent and character,” Hill said. “As we bring his creative sales and media strategizing abilities into our company, it underlines our commitment to remaining among the top providers of PR industry services. With our industry emerging now into a strong economic recovery, Zane’s move to NBN and our Chicago outfit reflects our expectation of growth in the broadcast video, audio and new media PR business through 2011 and into the future, while affirming NBN’s commitment to be a leader of that growth.”
