Bend, OR, May 22, 2011 --(PR.com)-- When a Nike poster of the late Oregon distance runner Steve Prefontaine speaks in a bar in Eugene, Oregon, Steven Jenny takes notice. The phrase “See; find J.” takes over his life, leading him on a quest to find Nike, the Greek goddess of victory. He discovers three “Jens” who fit his ideal of the goddess from an Internet dating site. While he’s pursuing these goddesses on Earth, he continues to work on organizing a three-on-three basketball event outside Portland’s Rose Garden arena.
Goddess Seeker, published by Dog Ear Publishing, follows Steven’s experiences as he begins running daily around the Nike World Campus and continues to seek support for his dream of Nikefest, a sports festival named after his inspiration. Before he goes online, he meets a Jen who is a black-haired, green-eyed beauty with the body of a runner. Online he meets Jenetelle, an Australian beauty. Jen, a brash woman from Minneapolis, thrives on competition. Jen-Marie, a Latina dripping with toughness who works as a pharmaceutical sales rep.
