PinnacleOne Announces the Appointment of Associate Vice Presidents

In their new positions, each associate vice president will have overall management responsibilities, including managing strategic planning and market positioning strategies; identifying and leveraging emerging market opportunities; optimizing the distinctive capabilities of individuals and teams within their operating segment; and supporting the overall growth and development of PinnacleOne’s business.
Roy Cooper, P.E. – Northeast Construction Claims Services
Mr. Cooper's professional career began in 1988 after his graduation from Michigan Technological University. Since that time, he has obtained a practical knowledge of construction by working as an engineer and superintendent on a variety of complex construction projects. In 1997, Mr. Cooper joined PinnacleOne where he has performed the analysis of complex construction claims from their beginning stages through trial support and expert testimony. Mr. Cooper has served PinnacleOne’s long-standing and repeat clients in the Northeast, including the Connecticut Department of Transportation and the City of New York Law Department. During the past year, he has led PinnacleOne's Northeast region and its team of industry-recognized claims professionals and qualified experts. Mr. Cooper received an MBA from the University of Connecticut in 1999. Not only does he use his diversified background to serve the Northeast region’s public clients, but also regularly lectures and provides training.
Mark Claussen – California Program & Project Management Services
Mr. Claussen brings more than 25 years of large program and project management experience to PinnacleOne’s California PPM service line. A registered professional engineer with a degree in ocean engineering from the United States Naval Academy, he previously served as director of architecture and engineering for the County of San Diego, and completed 21 years in the Navy Civil Engineer Corps prior to joining PinnacleOne in 2003. He is currently leading a 35-person team of construction and management professionals responsible for the $340 million Poway Unified School District bond program. Mr. Claussen’s proven leadership abilities, combined with his extensive knowledge of local San Diego public sector agencies and federal military agencies, provides unique opportunities for PinnacleOne to expand its services throughout that region.
Bryan Forbes, P.E. – California Construction Claims Services
Mr. Forbes has more than 26 years experience in the construction industry, beginning his career with a large engineering contractor that focused on heavy civil works construction for private and public owners. While working in the private sector, Mr. Forbes gained valuable knowledge in construction techniques, estimating, bid development, claim development, and management of construction projects. After working for a public agency and an owner/builder managing design professionals and construction projects, and honing his skills in overall project management and contract administration, Mr. Forbes has spent the last 12 years as a construction industry consultant and an expert in claim analysis. Both in public and private sector work, he developed considerable skills in the analysis, presentation, negotiation, and mitigation of construction-related claims.
Chris Gillespie – Arizona Program & Project Management Services
Mr. Gillespie is a registered architect with 30 years of design and construction industry experience. His past project responsibilities have included master planning, programming, design, construction administration, and project and program management for numerous Arizona public agencies. As a seasoned project manager, Mr. Gillespie has coordinated large-scale programs throughout Arizona employing traditional methodologies, as well as alternative delivery methods, including CM@Risk and design-build. His recent project experience includes the successful completion of the $19 million Mohave County Administrative Center in Kingman, Arizona.
Craig Halvorson – California Infrastructure Construction Management Services
Mr. Halvorson has 15 years of professional experience in project management, project controls, project scheduling, master scheduling, claims mitigation and resolution, cost estimating, and cost monitoring systems. He has performed a variety of construction management services on several large public works programs for the City of Los Angeles Wastewater Construction Management Division, Los Angeles World Airports Engineering Bureau, the Port of Los Angeles, the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, and the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transit Authority.
Petina Killiany – Northeast Program & Project Management Services
Ms. Killiany is a seasoned professional with more than 18 years of experience in the construction industry. She has served as project architect and project manager on numerous large-scale projects, playing an instrumental role in the administration of design and construction services. Through the completion of numerous New England projects, Ms. Killiany is well-versed in all codes and guidelines for the design of large-scale occupied projects. Her recent project experience includes acting as owner’s representative for the new $29.5 million Breakthrough Magnet School in Hartford, CT. It was the first public school building using the design-build project delivery method and its successful completion has paved the way for future design-build projects in the state of Connecticut.
