Water Shield Adds Full Line of High Efficiency Sand Filters
Water Shield Inc., an Alberta provider of potable, cooling and process water treatment solutions has recently expanded it's line of water treatment solution equipment to include high efficiency, rapid payback Sonitec Vortisand Sand Filtration Systems, geared to heating and cooling tower applications.
Lethbridge, Canada, May 27, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Water Shield Inc., an Alberta provider of water treatment and processing solutions, announced today the addition of Sonitec's Vortisand Sand Filtration Systems to their water treatment product lines.
As part of the company's focus on providing the best and most efficient equipment available, the new line easily meets these criteria. Used world wide in applications ranging from cooling water, chilled and hot water loops, spray nozzle protection, pre-RO and pre-DI, water reuse, rainwater polishing and others, these systems are in use by an impressive list of Fortune 500 companies, as well as numerous local companies and organizations.
The filtration systems utilize media filtration technology that removes suspended solids down to 0.45 microns. Because the systems are designed as modular units, they can easily be configured to handle any flow rate or application. The unique and compact design utilizes vortex stabilization to maintain high surface turbulence above the media bed leading to minimal use of backwash water, reduced operating costs and reduced downtime costs over alternate methods. Models are available for both side stream and full flow applications with filtration efficiencies of up to 99% and a very small footprint.
