Supermarket Chef Featured on EatTurkey.com
Chef-inspired turkey quesadilla recipe.
Washington, DC, May 28, 2011 --(PR.com)-- National Turkey Federation’s (NTF) latest turkey cooking video features Chef Philip Anderson, director of fresh foods at Harris Teeter, who creates a warm and crispy turkey quesadilla with only five ingredients.
“Anderson prepares and presents a simple Mexican-inspired dish that highlights the versatility of turkey,” said Sherrie Rosenblatt, NTF’s Vice President of marketing and communications. “At-home chefs can impress their friends and family on Cinco de Mayo or any other time of the year with this ‘upgraded’ quesadilla.”
In the video, Anderson heats a tortilla and then sprinkles it with Monterey Jack cheese and pre-cooked turkey, showing off his style for internationally fresh cooking, using high quality ingredients to create ethnic style foods with a rustic presentation. Once topped with cheese and turkey, Anderson folds the tortilla in half until the cheese melts, the turkey is warm and all sides are crisp.
Chef Anderson oversees Harris Teeter's stores that feature freshly prepared foods and pastries by culinary trained talent. The supermarket chain operates in eight states ranging from North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia to Tennessee, Florida, Maryland, Delaware and also the District of Columbia.
