Hundreds of Angry Birds addicts flocked to the Facebook wall for UK consumer electronics supplier Mixwall to pour out their stories about Angry Birds this week.
Manchester, United Kingdom, May 31, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Hundreds of Angry Birds addicts flocked to the Facebook wall for UK consumer electronics store Mixwall to make a confession of their Angry Birds addictions this week.
According to statistics disclosed by Rovio, Angry Birds franchise owners, the cumulative amount of time spent playing the game around the world totalizes more than a million hours per day.
In order to help alleviate the damage the game is having on Angry Birds addicts’ lives, UK online store Mixwall gave players the space to share their stories from May 20 to May 30.
Rachael Hayes, Public Relations manager for UK online store Mixwall, said hundreds of Angry Birds addicts from all over the world poured forth their pain on the Mixwall Facebook wall.
“About 1000 people got involved in this activity on the first day,” said Mrs. Hayes. “These people came from every corner of Europe.”
According to Mrs. Hayes, people were so addicted to Angry Birds Rio that they couldn’t even live normal lives.
“From what people pasted on Facebook wall, most of Angry Birds addicts found it difficult to separate the game from real life and it led to lots of embarrassment for them,” said Rachael Hayes. “Some Angry Birds addicts even ended up staying in prison.”
Consumer electronics store Mixwall with hundreds of kinds of Angry Birds articles on shelves, is giving away Angry Birds plush toys to those who shared their stories on the Facebook wall of Mixwall to relieve their pain from Angry Birds.
