New Hostel Opens on the Barcelona Coast

Calella, Spain, May 30, 2011 --(PR.com)-- A new type of Youth Hostel recently opened its doors in Calella de Mar on the coast of Barcelona in Spain. The Estrella de Mar Youth Hostel is ready for business during the 2011 Spring and Summer Season. With sharp prices but extensive services, the hostel hopes to target tourists that travel on a budget.

The hostel wants to cater to the needs of the more savvy and experienced budget traveler. “We play right into the needs and requirements of the self conscious traveler. They want a quality product for an economic price. No longer will they accept worn down accommodation,” comments Astrid Comerma, who operates the Estrella de Mar Youth Hostel.

The new facilities include a self service launderette, ironing facilities, a towel service, secure in-room lockers, air-conditioning and a magnet key system. In terms of catering they provide a breakfast room, a lounge bar with vending machines, healthy snacks and an a la carte restaurant with a garden. For entertainment the hostel has a TV room with a large flat screen, DVDs, karaoke machine, game machines, pool table, table football and computers with free high speed internet services.

According to Comerma, economy or cheap no longer means limited facilities. The hostel offers a lot of different options. “We are one of the cheapest youth hostels in Calella but we offer the best service!” says Comerma.
