An Allman Brothers Tribute by The Peach Project - June 4, 2011 - Appearing at Joey's Casa Italiana, Hewitt, New Jersey

Hewitt, NJ, May 31, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Peach Project is a six piece band comprised of some of the tri-state areas premier musicians performing a tribute to the music of The Allman Brothers Band. The band's members describe themselves as "individually and collectively, possessing the instrumental and vocal fire, creativity, and musical professionalism to render the music with the electricity, emotion and nuance of the original." The Peach Project say the responses to their live shows are "ecstatic and say their fan base is growing rapidly." They say, "older fans who were there at the Fillmore East in 1971 when it all began, as well as the younger generation of ABB fans who frequent the 'jam band' scene have been moved by the Peach Project's authentic and passionate renderings of ABB classics."

Joey Giovinazzo, owner of Joey's Casa Italiana, will host The Peach Project on Saturday, June 4, 2011. Joey was a musician before he got into the restaurant business at age 20. He played with a number of popular bands of the day including Rob Stoner, the long time leader of Bob Dylan’s band.

When Joey's first restaurant opened in Rockland County, NY Joey was taking care of the entertainment and his brother Ralph was chef. Joey began to develop an interest in cooking and before long was working in Yankee ball player Rick Cerone’s restaurant in Northvale. Not much later Joey won the chef’s award for his creation of Zuppa Di Pesce and chocolate mousse something that he offers at the Hewitt, NJ restaurant. He owned several other successful Rockland County restaurants before he came to Hewitt in the Township of West Milford 16 years ago. Joey says he "fell in love with the town and its people."

Joey continues to include live music as part of the restaurant experience, and is often found performing with his sons Daniel and Joey Junior. When he is not in the kitchen, friends Tom and Sandy Doyle, Les Paul Junior, Rob Stoner, Marty of Jay and the Americans, Eddie Brigati, Peppi Marchello, Bobbi Valli, Lou Pallo, Bucky Pizzarelli and many more perform at Joey’s restaurant.

On Saturday, June 4, 2011, Joey will present The Peach Project. There will be no cover charge. Regular and special menus will be available. At the bar, an all you can eat buffet will be available for $10.95. The show will start at 9:00pm.
