Jet Reports Announces New Reporting Product for Vertex Systems' Customers at No Cost

Westerville, OH, June 02, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Vertex Systems announces news from partners Microsoft and Jet Reports that will affect current and potential customers of the Vertex Financial Manager software solution. Jet Reports will be offering additional value through improved ad-hoc reporting and business intelligence analysis to Vertex Systems’ Financial Manager users on an active Business Ready Enhancement Plan beginning Q3 2011.

Jet Reports Express will soon be available, at no cost, for all new and existing Vertex Systems’ customers who currently have the Financial Manager ERP application with the Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 version.

Jet Reports reporting solution accesses their general ledger data inside the Vertex Systems’ Financial Manager database — including all add-on modules. This allows the Vertex customers to put the power of their social services reporting at their fingertips for better decision-making, transparency, and strategic planning.

The new Jet Reports Express is being released as a cooperative project between Jet Reports and Microsoft and will provide these new tools to users of Vertex Systems’ Financial Manager for free, included with their ERP platform. Jet Reports Express is a lighter version compared to the existing Jet Reports Essentials and Jet Enterprise. Express will include many of the same functions, such as: General Ledger functions, downloading of data tables in Excel, and real time reporting. It is planned for release in September of 2011.

In a statement, Vertex Systems explained that Jet Reports Express "enables us to enhance our Business Intelligence & Reporting value proposition for our customers within the next few months." Rob Mertz, Vertex Systems’ Financial Manager Implementation and Product Director, says, “This is very exciting news! Our customers will be able to access their general ledger data in a familiar way using Microsoft Excel. This will allow them to improve the timeliness and quality of their financial statements.”

Inside a familiar Excel environment users can easily access all of their Financial and Vocational Workshop data and utilize all Excel's capabilities to create high impact reports, such as Power Pivot, formatting, charting and Pivot Tables, to create powerful, insightful and well-formatted reports – quickly and easily. And Jet Reports allows the social services agency staff to automatically update their reports and distribute them on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
