Ken Bouche Appointed as IJIS Institute Liaison to the Global Advisory Committee
Hillard Heintze’s Senior Vice President to represent the IJIS Institute.
Ashburn, VA, June 02, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The IJIS Institute, a nonprofit organization that focuses on mission-critical information sharing for justice, public safety, and homeland security, announces that Ken Bouche, Senior Vice President of Hillard Heintze, has been appointed as the IJIS Institute liaison to the Global Advisory Committee (GAC).
IJIS leaders appointed Bouche as their inaugural representative to this post, established to better foster and formalize two-way GAC/IJIS communications. He currently serves on the IJIS Board of Directors and is well-acquainted with Global purposes and processes, having served as past chair of the GAC, Global Intelligence Working Group (GIWG), and Criminal Intelligence Coordinating Council (CICC).
The IJIS Institute Executive Director, Glenn Archer, stated, “Ken Bouche is intimately qualified for this position and brings with him a wealth of practical experience. He has an extensive background in information technology and more than 23 years of law enforcement experience. Further, Ken was the chairman of the Global Justice Information Sharing Initiative from 2001 to 2006. We firmly believe that his background will allow him to immediately be a positive contributing member of the Council.”
In his capacity as a representative for the IJIS Institute, Bouche will help bridge industry, government, and practitioners. Bouche’s involvement in GAC discussions and initiatives will aid Global in achieving its mission to define and solve the pressing issues in information sharing that impact local, tribal, state, and federal law enforcement every day.
Ken Bouche said, “I view the relationship between the Global Advisory Committee and the IJIS Institute as critical. By providing direct support to the Committee’s objectives, we can, I believe, significantly enhance and foster environments in which it becomes more and more commonplace to openly share information—nationally and on the global stage—in order to solve crimes, prevent terrorism and leverage the full power of technology to advance the cause of justice.”
