Summer Arrives at Nicksons Eatery in Downtown La Grange, Illinois
Nicksons Eatery, located in downtown LaGrange, IL released its Summer menu on 5.31.11. The new menu items feature regional fare that highlight local farms and produce.
La Grange, IL, June 02, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Featured items include the “Maui Lettuce Chicken Wraps.” “The Maui Lettuce Chicken Wraps served with Hearts of Palm, Pineapple Relish, Spicy Teriyaki Diced Herb Chicken, and Macadamia Nuts are a personal favorite and we’re really excited to be offering it this summer,” said restaurant co-founder and executive chef, Nick Baca. The refreshing flavors of the “Rhode Island Grilled Calamari” take your tastebuds on a journey perfectly paired with the new “Estancia Chardonnay” wine from the Central Coast of California.
“We hope to give our patrons the opportunity to taste regional specialties from the comfort and convenience of downtown La Grange,” said Chef Nick Baca. “The end of one season and the beginning of another gives us a chance to release some new seasonal items and it’s a really exciting time for the restaurant.”
Also joining the summer menu include “Green Chile Braised Berkshire Pork” which is raised in Cassopolis, Michigan, served with Domestic Green Chiles, Creole Sausage Hash, House Pickled Red Onion, and Grilled Scallion. The “Seasonal Foodie Salad” bursts with ingredients from the garden including La Grange Market Roasted Marinated Vegetables of the Week, Field Greens, Fresh Mozzarella, tossed in a Balsamic Champagne Vinaigrette.
To complement its new summer menu and cozy atmosphere, Nicksons Eatery, a 2011 Michelin Recommended Restaurant, has also expanded its drink menu – which features an extensive selection of wines, cocktails, martinis and seasonal drinks – to include a larger variety of regional beers. With these exciting additions, the drink menu reflects co-owner Rich Baca’s commitment to offering guests unique, high quality drinks.
The new regional specialties pair well with Nicksons regional microbrews served in frosted mason jars. New additions to the microbrew menu include “Belgian White Ale” from Allagash Brewery (Maine), “Double IPA,” from Southern Tier Brewery (New York), and “Little Sumpin’ Sumpin’ Ale” from Lagunitas Brewery (California). Nicksons tableside microbrew beer bucket offer diners the option to mix and match microbrews.
New specialty cocktails include the refreshing “Watermelon Margarita,” which features El Jimador Blanco, Triple Sec, Watermelon, Fresh Sour, and a Salt & Pink Peppercorn Rim. Introducing a new specialty drink is the “Raspberry 30 South,” made with Gin, Muddled Sage & Raspberries, Fresh Sour, Splash of Sparkling Wine.
