Everything You Need to Know About Payroll But Are Afraid to Ask? - Workshop to be Held at abi Innovation Hub
Manchester, NH, June 02, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Small business owner looking to hire your first employees and curious about payroll regulations? All employers need a basic understanding of payroll. Even for companies that do not have employees yet, it is important to understand the fundamentals of the laws, regulations and additional expenses that you can expect to incur by becoming an employer. In this workshop, Stephen Robinson CPA MST, founder of Checkmate Payroll Services, will provide a high level overview of the payroll related rules, regulations and best practices that NH employers need to know about.
The event will be held in the abi Innovation Hub conference room on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 from noon to 1pm. About Stephen Robinson: Stephen C. Robinson is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Since 1994, he has been president and owner of Checkmate Payroll Services, Inc., a full-service payroll processing company in Concord providing payroll services to over 450 employers. Steve’s over thirty years of accounting and financial management experience also includes fifteen as the owner of a public accounting firm offering high quality, personalized accounting services to individuals, partnerships, corporations and not-for-profit entities.
Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Plymouth State University in Plymouth, New Hampshire and a Master of Science degree, with Distinction, in Taxation from Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts. Steve has conducted a number of presentations and professional seminars throughout his career. He has also written articles for Warren, Gorham & Lamont, a Boston, Massachusetts firm that has been a major information source for finance professionals, as well as for several newspapers.
