San Luis Obispo Company Wins National Facebook Sweepstakes
Recipe Marketing Firm awards Bloom Microgreens free packaging design for winning social media sweepstakes.
San Luis Obispo, CA, June 02, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Recipe, a food and beverage marketing company, hosted a Facebook sweepstakes last month that awarded one lucky winner free packaging design, an estimated value of $5,000. Winner Kara Wood, of Bloom Microgreens, saw it as an opportunity to take her product to a whole new level.
“Being a small business and having two daughters to provide for, I have not had the extra capital to redesign my packaging. Bloom Microgreens is the leading provider of Microgreens on the Central Coast. The product sells itself. Now I would also like the packaging to be constant with the product,” said Wood.
The sweepstakes took place during the months of March and April. Entrants had to “Like” Recipe’s Facebook page and explain why their product needed a packaging makeover. Nearly 100 people applied.
“We held the sweepstakes to increase the number of fans and followers on our social media pages, build brand awareness and promote our award-winning packaging services. We will share our process through video in our weekly ‘What’s Cooking’ series on YouTube to give people a taste of what its like to work with us,” said Ellen Curtis, Recipe’s managing partner and owner.
Bloom Microgreens was created in 2007 by Wood. The company provides high-quality microgreens, which includes various lettuces, shoots and herbs, to local chefs and restaurants. Wood has been featured in numerous Central Coast publications, including the cover story for SLO Life Magazine.
