YesStyle Sponsors the 9th Korean Music Festival at LA's Hollywood Bowl
Los Angeles, CA, June 03, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Leading online fashion retailer YesStyle was a proud sponsor of the 9th edition of the Korean Music Festival held on April 30, 2011, at the historic Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California. Prior to the event, YesStyle gave away 14 tickets to seven lucky readers via its blog, The YesStylist.
The 2011 show appealed to audiences of all ages with a mixture of contemporary music and traditional trot, the oldest form of K-pop. This year's participating artists included K-pop groups U-Kiss, 4Minute, Sistar and Secret, plus singers and performers like Jay Park, K. Will, Jeong Soo-Ra, Baek Ji-Young, G. Na, DJ Doc and the 1st Generation Jazz Band. YesStyle distributed 3,000 glow sticks and 1,200 postcard shopping coupons to concert attendees while YesStyle's sister company YesAsia.com gave away K-pop CDs. A spectacular fireworks show concluded the evening's festivities.
Organized by The Korea Times, the leading news organization in the Korean-American community, the Korean Music Festival began in 2003 as a centennial anniversary celebration of the Korean immigration to the United States. The show has since grown to become one of the biggest annual events in Southern California and has featured top-tier K-pop artists such as Girls' Generation (SNSD), BoA and Rain.
"As Asian music, fashion, and culture continue to gain popularity and success in the U.S., YesStyle is the perfect sponsor to reflect the multicultural diversity of the 2011 Korean Music Festival," stated Jeff Chang, executive producer of the Korean Music Festival. "With support from sponsors such as YesStyle, we have grown into one of the largest annual Asian concerts in North America."
Joshua Lau, YesStyle CEO and founder, was equally appreciative of the show's significance. "The influence of Korean culture is an important factor in YesStyle's continued success and we are proud to be part of such an important event in the Korean-American community," he expressed. "We hope to continue nurturing and contributing to the success of Asian talents through partnerships like these."
YesStyle continues to pursue its mission of recognizing and promoting Asian lifestyle, culture and talent, primarily through fashion and by supporting and partnering with a growing list of up-and-coming Asian artists. These include filmmaking group Wong Fu Productions, singer-songwriter Clara C and YouTube singer and musician David Choi.
