Elgin, IL, June 04, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Lynn Fairfield, broker associate with RE/MAX Suburban in Libertyville, Ill., currently ranks among the top 20 residential agents in the RE/MAX Northern Illinois real estate network. She's also a leader in the fight against breast cancer.
Her work during 2009 and 2010 with the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure earned her an “Above the Crowd!®” award at the 34th annual RE/MAX Northern Illinois awards ceremony, which was held recently. The award is among the most prestigious honors RE/MAX Northern Illinois bestows upon its affiliates. It is given to those who make outstanding contributions to the RE/MAX Northern Illinois network.
Fairfield received the award because she has played a central role over the past two years coordinating the RE/MAX presence at the two “Race for the Cure” events held each autumn in northern Illinois, one of which takes place in Chicago’s Grant Park, the other in suburban Lombard, Ill.
Fairfield volunteered to create and coordinate at both local events a single “Team RE/MAX,” which allows RE/MAX affiliates who participate in the Race for the Cure to be part of a unified and strong RE/MAX presence. Her efforts helped Team RE/MAX rank among the 100 leaders in the Chicago area in terms of funds raised to benefit the Race for the Cure in 2009 (results for 2010 have yet to be announced). Fairfield will continue her role as Team RE/MAX captain in 2011.
RE/MAX is the national sponsor of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, one of the nation's leading organizations dedicated to fighting breast cancer. Since its founding in 1982, Komen has raised more than $1 billion for breast cancer research through its “Race for the Cure” events, which are held every year in cities across the country. Each participant signs up sponsors who donate funds for every mile the participant walks or runs, and those donations generate millions each year for breast cancer research.
RE/MAX has been the leader in the northern Illinois real estate market since 1989. The RE/MAX Northern Illinois network consists of 2,300 sales associates and 110 individually owned and operated RE/MAX offices that provide a full range of brokerage services throughout the northern one-third of Illinois.
