Minnesota Sinfonia at Como Park
St. Paul, MN, June 12, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Visit the Como Zoo’s wide collection of exotic animals or peruse their lovely gardens and then stay for a performance by the Minnesota Sinfonia at the park’s pavilion. Their Como Park Family Pops Concert promises entertaining, lighter musical fare including Broadway and movie tunes, marches, and much more.
The Sinfonia program will be taken from the following pieces: Strauss’s “Blue Danube Waltzes”, “Radetzky March”, “Thunder and Lightening”, Puccini’s “Fantasy on La Boheme”, Dvorak’s “Slavonic dance 3”, Williams’s “Music from Harry Potter”, Offenbach’s “Ballet Parisien”, Ricketts’s “A Tribute to Louis Armstrong”, Mozart’s “Overture to the Marriage of Figaro”, Joplin’s “The Fig Tree Rag”, Grieg’s “Lyric Pieces”, Mascagni’s “Intermezzo from Cavallaria Rusticana”, Hammerstein’s “Medley from the King and I”.

The concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, July 3 at Como Park Pavilion, 1360 N Lexington Pkwy, St. Paul, 55103. Admission is free and children are welcome to attend. Audience members should arrive early—all concerts are first-come, first-seated.
