NoDa Brewing Company Hires Esteemed Brewery Manager
Charlotte, NC, June 05, 2011 --(PR.com)-- NoDa Brewing Company is pleased to announce the recent addition of George Allen to their team of brewers. A seasoned Brewmaster, George will head up the day-to-day brewery operations as NoDa Brewing Company’s Brewing Manager.
“With the addition of George to our already talented staff, we are poised to hit the ground running once our 15 barrel system is delivered in August. With George’s talent, we look forward to begin distributing to local restaurants & bars in October (pending proper approvals),” says Todd Ford, Owner and Head Brewer of NoDa Brewing Company. “Not only is George a very knowledgeable and talented brewer, but he’s a great guy who seems to know everyone in the craft brewing world. We could not have asked for a better fit for us,” adds Ford.
Not new to the brewing scene, George brings his impressive brewing background to NoDa Brewing Company. Having begun his brewing career with Red Oak Brewing in Greensboro, NC, George received his diploma in Intensive Brewing Science and Engineering from the American Brewers Guild, thus becoming a professional brewer.
George expanded his craft brewing skills when he joined Carolina Beer in Mooresville, NC to handle sales and marketing. Soon after getting his feet wet, George was promoted to the Brewmaster position. In addition to his production responsibilities, as Brewmaster & Beer Manager, George managed the distributor relationships in NC, SC, GA, TN and VA for Carolina Beer.
Well-rounded in the operations of craft brewing, George also has experience as co-owner & brewer of Bison Brewing, an organic brewery in Berkley, CA, with responsibilities for East Coast Sales and expansion to the East Coast. Missing the “hands on” brewing experience, George felt the pull back to his brewing roots. As luck would have it, NoDa Brewing Company was looking for an experienced brewer to head their brewing operations.
