Richard Wageman Makes Presentation to Global Committee of the International Franchise Assocation

Beijing, China, March 16, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Richard Wageman, senior partner of the firm Lehman, Lee & Xu recently made a presentation to the International Global Committee of the International Franchise Association (IFA) on China’s new franchising regulations. The meeting took place at the IFA’s 47th Annual Convention. This year's conference attracted 3,110 people. 

On January 31, 2007, the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, at the 167th executive meeting, adopted the “Regulation on the Administration of Commercial Franchise”, which is to be effective on May 1, 2007. The regulation is the topic of much debate in China and around the world, as global franchises scramble to get into the China market. Senior Chinese attorney, Sun Wenjie, also attended the conference.
