Cramer Honda of Venice Announces Its Sponsorship of the Second Annual Wiener Dog Derby

Venice, FL, June 08, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Second Annual Wiener Dog Derby was held May 7th at the 17th Street Park in Sarasota this past weekend. According to Cramer Honda of Venice General Manager Lance O'Fallon "We had a tremendous turn out again this year and a great time was had by all especially the Wiener Dogs." Cramer Honda of Venice was the lead sponsor of the race and President Compton Cramer stated "I'm proud to support the event again this year and especially proud to help raise money for the Humane Society of Sarasota." The event raised over $700.00 for the Humane Society which was matched by Cramer Honda of Venice. Local radio station 107.9 WSRZ and morning show host Christina Crane hosted the event along with several volunteers. The event brought out a crowd of nearly 300 onlookers ready to enjoy a perfect afternoon with their coolers, umbrellas and sunscreen. The stars of the event of course were the Wiener Dogs and according to several of the patrons the Wiener Dogs lived up to their billing for an exciting day of racing. All in all everyone came out a winner and thanks to the contributions of everyone involved awareness was raised for the Humane Society and the great work they do.
