Medix Staffing Solutions, Inc. Hosts National Sales Conference; Buzz Williams and Jill Konrath Featured as Keynote Speakers
Lombard, IL, June 08, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Medix Staffing Solutions, Inc., a national staffing organization specialized in recruiting skilled personnel for clients in the Professional Services, Life Sciences, Healthcare and Information Technology industries, hosted its annual National Sales Conference last month in Lombard, Ill. The goal of the conference was to unite Medix’s sales force from the company’s 11 offices across the country to learn invaluable lessons on teamwork, sales strategies and methodologies.
Sixty one Medix employees gathered at the company’s corporate headquarters for a three-day summit that not only focused on specific strategies for Medix to employ in its sales processes, but also included teambuilding activities and keynote speakers to impart knowledge on both general and tactical levels of the sales process.
“The sales conference is really our once-a-year opportunity to gather all our sales people together, streamline our processes and communicate valuable knowledge to the entire group,” said Scott Diamond, Medix’s Director of Corporate Development. “Also, this is a chance for our team to get together and foster meaningful relationships with one another. We communicate so frequently with teammates thousands of miles away without ever meeting them in person, and this is an invaluable opportunity to truly bond and get to know each other, making our team that much stronger.”
The conference also hosted two keynote speakers. The first speaker to kick off the event was the head coach of the men’s Marquette University basketball team, Buzz Williams. Williams has plenty of experience on “developing a winning attitude” to draw from, having led his team to the Sweet 16 in this year’s NCAA basketball tournament. His speech focused on always putting forth one’s best effort and taking pride in the results and satisfaction of maximizing one’s potential. The second speaker was Jill Konrath, sales strategist, public speaker and author of two best-selling books. She spoke with the sales people on the concept of “snap selling” and the most effective means of capturing the attention and business of key companies. Konrath even spent time working on role plays with Medix’s salespeople to help them fine-tune their skills.
“In my work with sales organizations across the country, it's rare to find salespeople like those at Medix who are totally committed to becoming valuable resources for their customers,” said Konrath. “I'm really impressed with the attitude and commitment of these young professionals.”
In addition to listening to knowledgeable speakers, the sales conference attendees were also able to collaborate in breakout groups and unite with peers in similar divisions to broaden their knowledge on their specific fields.
“I really enjoyed meeting everyone at the conference and learning how many internal resources we have,” said salesperson Regina Rekus of Medix’s Lombard, Ill. office. “I want to do a better job of staying in touch with all of the other salespeople throughout the year and utilizing the inner knowledge we currently have and are continuing to build as a company.”
“The sales meeting offered a great collaboration of ideas that will better the ‘two month sales person’ as much as it will the ‘2+ years sales person,’” added James Jacobi, a salesperson out of Medix’s Parsippany, NJ office. “As Buzz Williams said in the opening speech, if we just reach four inches higher in our efforts every day, that will take us from being great to being extraordinary. I made dozens of new friends that are committed to making each other better, and I’ve never been more excited to work at Medix.”
