Smartec Announced 1CHVideo Server with Full D1 Resolution and 3 Codecs

Tallinn, Estonia, June 10, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Smartec STS-IPTX161 NEYRO Series video server is designed to convert an analog video signal to a digital format and transmit it over the network in real-time. This video server supports H.264, MPEG-4, M-JPEG and transmits high quality images with up to Full D1 (720x576 pix.) resolution. STS-IPTX161 can also handle several independent video streams with multicast data transmission. Like other NEYRO Series video servers, this model supports video analytics, motion detection, image subtitles and can operate both with NetStation software and a standard web browser.

To digitize analog video signal, Smartec video server uses new high-performance DaVinci processor. Due to this processor, STS-IPTX161 provides video compression in H.264, M-JPEG and MPEG-4 and can transmit one or two configurable video streams with Full D1 (720x576 pix.), VGA (640x480), CIF (352h240) or QCIF (176x144) at 25 fps. In case of low bandwidth rate, video servers allow the operator to adjust data transmission parameters automatically or manually.

STS-IPTX161 has a standard set of interfaces, including the power connector, RJ45-connector and BNC video connector for security camera. In addition, this model is bundled with IPAdminTool utility, which ensures its automatic detection when connected to the network. New video server enables the operator to configure and view real-time video through a standard web browser. To ensure the safety operation, access to the video server is restricted by the password.

VCA presence video analytics allow the video server to detect and classify various objects in the frame (people, animals, transport), adapting video analysis algorithms for current viewing conditions. A distinctive feature of VCA presence package is the ability to track multiple objects (up to 100 simultaneously) and control manipulations over the camera, which transmits the video signal to the server.

For advanced video analytics, it is recommended to use the optional VCA surveillance package. This version of the VCA software provides digital image stabilization, objects’ classification by size and speed, setting of "acceptable" and "unacceptable" motion directions, control of the objects’ temporary stay in the restricted zone, identifying presence/absence of the objects, etc. Also, the Smartec video server with VCA surveillance allows the operator to count the objects over certain period of time and calculate the intensity of the human traffic.

Administration of the IP video systems with Smartec video servers is carried out by NetStation management software, which can handle up to 32 video channels per server. This software provides a great opportunity to view and record audio/video, use interactive graphic layout (eMap) and create large IP video surveillance systems with “client-server” architecture. In addition, the video server can be synchronized with third-party software, supporting basic and advanced VCA video analytics packages.
