Local North Minneapolis Children to Perform with the Minnesota Sinfonia
Minneapolis, MN, July 05, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Join the Minnesota Sinfonia at North Minneapolis’s Farwell Park for some light and fun favorites featuring the story of Peter and the Wolf put on by local North Minneapolis children. Also scheduled to perform prior to the Sinfonia is the Unlimited Next Level Dance and Drill Performing Arts. This concert as well as the instruction of North Minneapolis children is sponsored by The Minnesota State Arts Board and the Minneapolis Parks and Recreation.
The program will focus on how we use music to describe magical moments and a wide range of our emotions. Music will be taken from Harry Potter, Peter and the Wolf, and favorites from ragtime, marches, dances and more.
The concert will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 27th at Farwell Park, 1201 Sheridan Ave N, Minneapolis, 55411. *Rainsite at Bethune Elementary, 919 Emerson Ave. N, Minneapolis, 55411. Admission as always is free. Audience members should arrive early—all concerts are first-come, first-seated.
