Millburn Resident Gints Gulbis Achieves Significant Milestone as Toastmaster

Toastmasters International announced today that Millburn, NJ resident, Gints Gulbis has achieved Competent Leader award.

Union, NJ, June 24, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Toastmasters International announced today that Gints Gulbis has achieved Competent Leader.

“Becoming a Competent Leader is a great achievement,” said Lisa Pantano, DTM, Lieutenant Governor of Education and Training, for Toastmasters District 83 (http://toastmasters83.org/). “It requires a certain level of mastery of both communication and leadership skills. Gints can really be proud of this accomplishment.”

After completing the ten (10) Competent Leader projects, a member is entitled to the Competent Leader (CL) award, and may add the post-nominal CL to their name for Toastmasters purposes. After earning the CL award the Toastmaster can further refine and develop his leadership skills by working in the advanced leader program. Members working in this program are eligible for Advanced Leader Bronze (ALB) and Advanced Leader Silver (ALS) recognition.

Club Vice President of Education, Paul Camarinha presented Gints with a special pin to recognize the milestone. Mr. Gulbis joined Toastmasters in 2008 and belongs to Toastmaster Club of Union.

“Taking action and becoming a member of Toastmasters has opened many new opportunities for me. It has helped me discover my “new me” for which I am very thankful,” said Gulbis. “Working through the Competent Leader program on my Leadership track with one fantastic Officer Team has resulted in an award-winning club for the 2010-2011.
