Marks & Spencer Launch Facebook Store Powered by Zibaba.Com
Just in time for Father’s Day, Marks & Spencer have gone social and launched a Facebook store using Zibaba’s versatile Facebook storefront solution.
London, United Kingdom, June 11, 2011 --(PR.com)-- “We’re delighted that Marks & Spencer chose Zibaba to launch their Facebook store. With over 300,000 Facebook fans, it makes excellent business sense to offer their fans the opportunity to shop directly from their fan page,” Ronen Shlomo, CEO of Zibaba (http://www.zibaba.com), stated.
The store, which is now up and running directly from the Marks & Spencer Facebook fan page, is focused around Father’s day. The Facebook store offering includes Men's clothing, electrical appliances, gifts for him and travel accessories. However, the Zibaba powered technology allows for automated catalogue updates directly from an XML feed, so the inventory can be dynamically updated. It can be viewed on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/MarksandSpencer?sk=app_144440148901844.
Ronen continued, “I believe that brands are looking at the Zibaba solution due to the flexibility of the platform. We offer merchants the choice of setting the checkout to function within Facebook or redirecting back to their own Webstore for checkout. We additionally enable merchants to run their own Group Offer deals directly from their storefront together with Group Coupons which can be redeemed both online and offline.”
“Zibaba has grown exponentially since we launched the storefront offering back in December. More retailers are choosing Zibaba from an increasingly competitive field. The fact that large brands such as Marks & Spencer, HMV and Dell UK have decided on Zibaba is great kudos for our platform and total f-Commerce offering,” said Michael Katz, VP Business Development and Investor Relations.
“Our aim is to provide the most versatile platform with the greatest ease of use,” Katz continued. “We view our offering as not just another Facebook storefront, but a complete f-Commerce solution. We have recently received the approval from Facebook to integrate their advertising API into our backend, enabling retailers to set up a store and advertise on Facebook directly from the shop admin. We see this as a big milestone in the future of f-Commerce.”
