New Study by Sterling Consultants Reveals Top Complaints Among CPA Practice Owners
The president of Sterling, Inc., today announced the results of an in-depth study of CPA practice owners which uncovers the roadblocks to success.
Glendale, CA, June 13, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The top complaint of CPA practice owners is executive “burnout,” according to an in-depth study conducted by Sterling consulting group (http://www.sterling.us). The recently-completed study was conducted through a series of extensive interviews with CPA practice owners from a variety of U.S. States.
“During tax season, the owner of an accounting practice may work anywhere from 60 to 80 hours per week for months. It’s no surprise that these people complain of burn out and poor quality of life,” said Barbara Wilson, president of Sterling. “When we examined the results closely, we found the root of the problem was staff issues. The staffs were not carrying their fair share of the load.”
The CPA study also revealed:
63% of the owners felt their practices were barely making ends meet or were not advancing to the next level
59% were experiencing staff management problems such as unmotivated staff or lack of team spirit
52% do not delegate as much as they should be or would like to
