Cody Perkins and Team 801 Racing Make Second Final Round Appearance
Fallon, NV, June 17, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Cody Perkins has put his NHRA Top Alcohol Dragster in two consecutive final rounds. Having won the Topeka, Ks Summer Nationals just a few weeks ago, Perkins was excited to be in another final round. It was also a delight to new sponsor 801 Racing.
Qualifying for the race was a challenge in itself. The track surface was tricky, and it proved to be a factor in the final round. Perkins faced series runner-up Chris Demke and the CleanBoost Dragster in a tough final round.
"We left first by .02 but it started breaking the tires loose about 300 feet out." said Perkins. "Demke just drove by at that point and got us at the finish."
"It might not be a win, but valuable points were earned. I really want to thank my Mom and Dad, and especially Grandma for their help this weekend," stated Perkins.
As far as they know, they didn't hurt any parts on the 801 Racing Dragster. The same could not be said for the trip home. A flat tire made the trip longer, but with two straight final rounds, it was changed with a smile.
801 Racing is a privately held company based in Salt Lake City, Utah that produces a unique and innovative ‘solid fuel technology.’ Named Pulse Power Boost, it comes in a solid red ball and is a fuel boost catalyst that completely dissolves in the fuel tank. The increase in power is next to immediate as it fully dissipates once dissolved. The product works in gas, alcohol and diesel engines. Pulse Power Boost will come packaged in a sealed pouch or in an embossed display tin. 801 Racing's, Pulse Power Boost is targeted at the racing community for all forms of motorsports that need an edge against the competition in the other lane or to get out ahead of the pack and stay there.
