Marshalltown, IA, June 17, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Mechdyne Corporation is partnering with Digital Projection International at InfoComm 2011, June 15-17, in Orlando, Florida.
Mechdyne will provide software applications, graphics computing capabilities, and technical expertise to support an ultra high resolution flat screen display at Digital Projection International's (DPI) booth. Mechdyne is a leader in visualization solutions and well known for software applications such as getReal3D™ for Unity, VRScape™, Conduit™, and CAVELib™, that provide interactive virtual experiences for 3D datasets.
At the show, Mechdyne will demonstrate a new interactive 3D application that helps users easily create virtual worlds with outstanding realism. With this new virtual reality toolkit it is easy to build dynamic 3D environments that can now include scripted behaviors, triggered physics and user interactions. Such 3D content could be used for training, presentations, simulations, research or design reviews.
The 12’ by 7.5’ Powerwall™ display provided by DPI utilizes three TITAN WUXGA 3D projectors to create an ultra high resolution display of 4440 x 1920. The professional series 3D projectors utilize DPI's near zero latency warp, blend and network control processor, FUSION, to perform the geometry required to turn the overlap from each projector into one seamless image. In addition to providing the content and computer graphics cluster to drive the display, Mechdyne is also providing software to drive the projectors at their native resolution. The combined technologies produce a stunningly realistic, immersive, and interactive experience. The Powerwall™ display could be used for biotech research, seismic interpretation, virtual prototyping, command and control, manufacturing design, or any application that requires different display modes.
"We are pleased to be supporting DPI at InfoComm," commented Mike Hancock, Vice President for Mechdyne. "We provide technology solutions worldwide, and it's great to have an opportunity to demonstrate our software and solution capabilities to the thousands of technology users who will be visiting this show.”
