Belly Dance Comes to the Essence Festival 2011, HipMix.net and Dilara Sultan Confirmed
Beaumont, TX, June 18, 2011 --(PR.com)-- It was announced today that Dilara Sultan and her company, HipMix.net will be honored guests and sponsors of celebrity party events surrounding this year’s Essence Music Festival in New Orleans July 1-4, 2011.
“We couldn’t be more excited,” said Marketing Assistant Christina Jones. “Not only will attendees be exposed to the true art of belly dance, they will also have interaction with the HipMix.net website which promotes belly dancers and related businesses around the world.”
The events, which will be officially announced in the coming weeks, will feature music and other entertainment as well as provide information about today’s belly dance lifestyle. “To put people in touch with dancers, restaurants and schools where ever they may live is one of the goals of our company,” Jones explains. “Our website does that, as well as educate and promote the art and lifestyles of today’s belly dancers.”
HipMix.net offers free, basic profiles to those involved in belly dance: students, fans, teachers and professionals. The website also allows businesses like restaurants, clubs and dance schools to promote themselves as well. When a visitor types in a location, the profiles of those in the area are displayed. Other opportunities for advertising and preferred profile status are offered, but not required.
“It will be wonderful to open up the real world of belly dance to a huge audience,” said company founder, Dilara Sultan. “To show the art and beauty of the dances from Northern Africa and the Mid East and dispel myths about belly dance is something my staff and I are looking forward to.”

The Essence Festival is going into it’s 16th year. Promoting African American Music and Culture, it attracts an annual average attendance of more than 200,000 people each year.
