Forseti Gallery Major Exhibit, "In Black & White" by Diane Marinos, Opens in San Diego Gaslamp on March 24, 2007
American photographer Diane Marinos turns to black and white to present her compelling vision of locale and imagery. An artist reception and lecture accompanies the opening on March 24, 2007, 6-9 PM.
San Diego, CA, March 20, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Diane Marinos love for photography, coupled with a yearning to learn more about vanishing cultures and habitats in distant lands, has been a part of her life since its beginning. Consequently, her subject selections for images have mostly been guided by physical locale. Her keen awareness of nature, especially flora, has been her focus at home whereas wildlife in Alaska and Africa, and human cultures in remote parts of countries such as Burma, Laos, Cambodia, Viet Nam, Ladakh (which is now part of India), and more recently, Mongolia, have dominated the balance of her work.
Recently, she explored the world of "Black and White", enjoying the play of light as an essential element in creating dramatic images. Omitting color, her images are reduced to their very essence of form and light which she finds particularly pleasing and restful. Diane's images are available as limited editions giclee fine art prints.
An artist reception and lecture accompanies the opening on March 24, 2007, 6-9 PM.
