ProGrass, LLC Appoints Robert W. Thomas as President of Company
Pittsburgh-based artificial turf firm promotes industry executive to continue company growth
Pittsburgh, PA, June 21, 2011 --(PR.com)-- ProGrass, LLC is pleased to announce Robert W. Thomas as its new President. Mr. Thomas previously held the position of Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Along with his new duties as company President, Thomas will also continue to ensure the success of those departments in the interim.

Robert Thomas is a graduate of Hiram College where he received a BA in Education; he later attended Kent State University where he completed his MBA in sports administration.
Always interested in sports, Thomas’ first job was that of a Physical Education teacher at his alma mater Liberty Local schools located in Ohio. Not only did he teach, but coach football, track, basketball and head coach of the swim team. His dedication to youth and sports led him to take the position as assistant football coach and director of intramurals at Hiram College. Thomas proved to be such an asset to the institution that in 1992 he became the youngest head football in OAC history. Proving to be a leader he was elevated to athletic director. He led the Terriers until 2001.
In 2001 Thomas began working for ProGrass, LLC where he quickly moved up the professional ladder from regional sales representative to VP of Sales and Marketing. He is considered one of the leading authorities on synthetic turf. His dedication and knowledge has led to a science based product with the emphasis on the performance and safety of synthetic surfaces. Thomas also sits on the Synthetic Turf Council as a task force member focusing on the performance of synthetic turf products.
S. Kent Rockwell holds a MBA in Finance from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Economics from Lafayette College. Rockwell has over 25 years of experience in executive management of industrial and commercial businesses. Rockwell has also restored health to ailing companies and delivered value to its stockholders.
