Carolina Mudcats to Host Huntsville Stars in Upcoming Homestand
June 23-27 Home Series Will Include Thirsty Thursday, Friday Night Fireworks, Hat Giveaways and Other Promotions
Zebulon, NC, June 22, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Carolina Mudcats (http://www.carolinamudcats.com), Wake County’s hometown professional baseball team, has announced the team’s upcoming five-game home series against the Huntsville Stars starting Thursday, June 23 through Monday, June 27. The games scheduled for Thursday, Friday, and Monday have starting times of 7:15 p.m. Saturday’s game will begin at 6:15 p.m. and Sunday’s game will start at 2 p.m. Several promotions will take place during the home series.
The Thursday, June 23 game marks Thirsty Thursday, presented by Natty Greene’s Brewing Company. Fans may purchase 12-ounce Pepsi products for only $1 and 16-ounce domestic drafts for only $2.
Friday Night Fireworks, presented by Traveler’s Insurance and Moore & Johnson Agency, will be presented after the Friday, June 24 game. In addition, the Mudcats will present Philanthropy Friday. Fans bringing in three canned good items will receive one free general admission ticket. The North Carolina Education Lottery will have a booth in the concourse during Friday night’s game. Lottery prize packs and special games will be available throughout the night.
The first 1,500 fans to enter Five County Stadium on Saturday, June 25 will receive a free Mudcats hat, presented by CarQuest Auto Parts.
At the conclusion of the Sunday, June 26 game, the team will host the Kids Run the Bases event.
The Mudcats will host a School’s Out Celebration on Monday, June 27. The Mudcats, along with the individual schools in the Five County Stadium footprint (Wake, Johnston, Nash, Wilson, and Franklin counties), congratulate students and teachers for a year of hard work and success. Students were awarded a ticket voucher to celebrate their achievements and may redeem their voucher for a ticket to Monday’s game.
