Lauren Neal to Attend Final Year at Southeast Tourism Society’s Marketing College
The Lake Oconee and Greene County Tourism committee is pleased to announce that Lauren Neal, tourism coordinator, stands to complete the final portion of a three-year professional development program leading to a Travel Marketing Professional (TMP) certification this July through Southeast Tourism Society’s Marketing College.
Greensboro, GA, June 23, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Lake Oconee and Greene County Tourism committee is pleased to announce that Lauren Neal, tourism coordinator, stands to complete the final portion of a three-year professional development program leading to a Travel Marketing Professional (TMP) certification this July through Southeast Tourism Society’s Marketing College. For the past two years, Neal has attended a week-long program on North Georgia College and State University’s campus in Dahlonega, Ga. Southeast Tourism Society’s Marketing College is attended by individuals from Arizona to Virginia. To date, 564 people have earned the TMP certification.
“The committee is always excited to hear about what Lauren has learned at Marketing College when she returns each year. Lauren has been able to implement a great deal of what she has learned each year from social media, generational marketing, and brochure development to governmental relations and running an effective board,” states Tamie Moran, chairperson of the Greene County Tourism Committee. “The committee has seen such a great impact in our community from what Lauren has learned at Marketing College. We cannot wait to see what the final year holds.”
Neal is to attend STS’s Marketing College from July 24th to July 27th. She stands to earn the Travel Marketing Professional certification after completing a service project and presentation in the community. The Greene County Tourism Committee is a volunteer organization comprised of six appointed members by the Greene County Board of Commissioners along with three representatives from the Greene County Board of Commissioners, the Greene County Chamber of Commerce and The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation.
