Lake Oconee and Greene County Tourism Creates a YouTube Channel

Greensboro, GA, June 23, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Lake Oconee and Greene County Tourism is preparing for summer with the announcement of LakeOconeeGA’s YouTube Channel. Lake Oconee and Greene County Tourism has created several videos and commercials for the Lake Oconee area including videos of their golf professionals demonstrating how to play each course’s signature hole. The YouTube Channel can be found at http://www.youtube.com/user/LakeOconeeGA.

“We are very pleased to be presenting our YouTube Channel to our community,” states Tamie Moran, chairperson of the Greene County Tourism Committee. “Lauren Neal has been working diligently alongside our industry leaders and accommodations partners to ensure that we have a great YouTube Channel. Our purpose was to create a channel that entices tourism by providing video clips featuring the many different experiences the area offers visitors.”

Also included is the video of this year’s Southland Jubilee.

"Southland Jubilee enjoys a wonderful partnership with Greene County Tourism," explains Greensboro Better Hometown Manager Cail Hammons. "Together we have marketed the festival to thousands of visitors. The YouTube channel is a great example of how Greene County Tourism is working to promote our area to potential visitors in new and creative ways."

Greene County Tourism would also like to thank MGMedia Productions for support in creating the videos to be shared with the community.

“Working with a local company provides the advantage of area knowledge to capture the best shots and flexible scheduling to ensure good weather and lighting,” says Lauren Neal, tourism coordinator for the Greene County Board of Commissioners. “Working with Max Henry of MGMedia Productions has given us that flexibility, and the Greene County Tourism Committee and myself are so pleased with the work that can be produced on a tight schedule.”

The Greene County Tourism Committee is a volunteer organization comprised of six appointed members by the Greene County Board of Commissioners along with three representatives from the Greene County Board of Commissioners, the Greene County Chamber of Commerce and The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation. The members attend monthly meetings as well as various subcommittees throughout the year.
