St. Louis, MO, June 23, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Devfarm Software, creators of the PowerWF™ family of IT automation products today announced that it has entered a definitive agreement to acquire VI PowerScripter from Swiss based virtualization experts icomasoft®, the inventors of opvizor®, a leading-edge SaaS solution for predictive analysis and issue prevention. PowerScripter is a unique VMware client plug-in for a tight integration of user-defined PowerShell® scripts into the object repository of VMware Virtual Infrastructure. PowerScripter delivers predefined functions for common admin tasks and is capable of handling hundreds of custom scripts for direct usage from a dynamically generated context menu within the VMware client (for connections to vCenter, vSphere 4, ESX 3.5 or ESX 3i).

Today’s announcement builds on the successful technology partnership between PowerWF and PowerScripter. PowerWF lets users automate their IT administrative task using a simple drag-and-drop interface to create PowerShell based automation scripts.

“The addition of PowerScripter to the PowerWF product family provides out-of-the-box value to our customers as they automate their VMware administration,” said Brian Butler, CEO of Devfarm Software. “The combination of PowerWF and PowerScripter let users author PowerShell scripts and deploy them directly to the VI Client.”

“PowerScripter’s current customers will love working with the PowerWF team. Their history delivering feature rich, quality products has always amazed me,” said Diego Boscardin, CEO of icomasoft. “I look forward to watching how PowerScripter transforms in the coming years.”
