Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ Black Watch Visited Bangor for the First Time
The Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ ship, Black Watch, made her first ever call into the port of Bangor, in Northern Ireland, on Wednesday 15th June 2011, as part of her cruise, "Dublin & Around the UK."
Ipswich, United Kingdom, June 23, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The cruise departed from Dover on Friday 10th June 2011, and additionally visited St. Peter Port in Guernsey, Dublin, Greenock (Glasgow) then Bangor, before continuing on to Tobermory (Isle of Mull), Kirkwall (Orkneys Isles), and returning to Dover.
The cruise line operates a fleet of four smaller, traditional-style ships, offering cruises to a host of worldwide destinations, from a number of regional UK ports. In recent years the popularity of cruises around the UK, and to destinations closer to home has increased, and the cruise line operates several cruises around the British Isles each year, always with an eye to offering new and interesting ports of call. Excursions from Bangor include a panoramic tour of Belfast, and a visit to the World Heritage Site, the Giant’s Causeway.
