Isle of Valentine James Hosts Sample and Dabble
Brooklyn, NY, June 24, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Isle of Valentine James, a New York based company, will be hosting a products event on Sunday June 26, 2011 from 4-8 p.m. at 959 Utica Avenue, Brooklyn, New York.
The event offers the public an opportunity to meet the Brand's developer, sample products, win prizes and get a natural hair education by Natasha Paul of Evolution.
Isle of Valentine James was launched in March 2011 with the goal of not just becoming a successful business venture but to help garner attention to the islands of the Caribbean by manufacturing and distributing natural hair care, body and bath products, which are inspired by the islands.
“It’s really a social entrepreneurial endeavor. The idea is to use as much as is possible of ingredients from the Caribbean to make our products. By so doing we hope to show case the Caribbean as a resource for ingredients in the Cosmetic industry,” said Caroline Henry-Packer, the business owner.
The company is also focused on providing a natural product which is not only gentle to use but whose production has been made with great consideration to the environment. For this reason, for example products are distributed in burlap bags as opposed to plastic bags because Isle of Valentine James believes that their biodegradability is safer on the environment. Isle of Valentine James encourages customers to do their part in living in a more natural way and to respect the environment.
The brand epitomizes everything that their namesake stood for. Valentine James was the business owner’s maternal grandfather, a simply Grenadian farmer who lived to be 99 years old. The existence of this brand pays homage to him and all those concerned with sustainable living.
“Our success is tied to the success of the farmers and people of the Caribbean. We hope our decision will help empower the Caribbean people by becoming interested and motivated in pursuing sustainable farming utilizing what the region best offers,” added Henry-Packer.
